Harinder Mahil, Coquitlam: Harinder Mahil retired in October 2021 as Regional Team Lead with the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC), a union that represents professionals employed by the government of Canada. He was Chair of the British Columbia Council of Human Rights from 1992-1997 and a Commissioner of the British Columbia Human Rights Commission from 1997 to 2002. Since his retirement he has served as a Council Member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC) which regulates the delivery of veterinary medicine in the province. Since 2010, he has been a Board member and Secretary of a federally incorporated not-for-profit foundation established in 2009. In 2022, the province of British Columbia honoured him for his volunteer activities with an Order of British Columbia.
